DREAM CATCHER - THE STORY

According to legend, Iktomi the teacher of wisdom, appeared in the form of a spider and spoke in a sacred language that only the spiritual leaders could understand.  As he spoke, he took the elder's willow hoop, which had feathers, horse hair, beads and offerings on and began to spin a web.

He spoke of the cycles of life and so the dream catcher was created.

The garden has been designed to liven the senses with colour, scent, tranquility, surprises and a touch to the soul.

The influence of colour comes from the Shaman's (wise woman or man) way of honouring the spirits of the four directions, North, South, East and West.  The passage of the sun and moon in regular cycles has influenced all cultures

Humankind has not woven the web of life
We are but one thread within it
Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves
