In 2000 a series of comparison shots were taken.  These are on the right.  Those on the left were used as a framing guide, having been taken during 1994/5.  As you can see a little thinning has taken place in the surrounding woodland!

The house used to be hidden from the road, which meant the wonderful views could not be enjoyed. With a little help from a chainsaw the view was opened right out.
